StarCom Racing, Landon Cassill Honoring Sterling Marlin With Darlington Throwback

The Silver bullet rides again. StarCom Racing announced on Monday, that they will run a special Sterling Marlin “Coors Light” inspired throwback car for this weekend’s Bojangle’s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

Landon Casill will run the iconic paint scheme, which Marlin took to victory lane in 2002 at Darlington.

Marlin won 10 races over his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series career, which ended in 2009. Marlin, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease has stayed active on the short track circuit around his home state of Tennessee. He is still a very common name in victory lane to this day.

StarCom Racing will also be raising money for the Michael J Fox Parkinson’s Foundation through sales of a T-shirt commemorating the No. 00 car’s throwback for this weekend. StarCom Tweeted information about the T-Shirt:
