Pending post-race inspection, it looks like Ross Chastain and Niece Motorsports have pulled off the ultimate redemption after they were disqualified following a win last weekend at Iowa Speedway. Chastain was able to hold off the competition in the closing laps despite taking fuel only on the final pit stop.
The majority of the field took two tires.
On the final lap, Chastain had broken away from Christian Eckes and Todd Gilliland, when Eckes got turned around to end the race.
Gilliland finished second, Stewart Friesen was third, Chandler Smith came home an impressive fourth and Brett Moffitt rounded out the top-five.
Grant Enfinger won Stages 1 and 2.
This is a huge thing for Chastain and his Niece Motorsports team, as they now have their win (pending post-race inspection), now they just have to get into the top-20 of the point standings to make the Playoffs. Currently, Chastain sits 38 points out of the 20th-place in the standings.
Chastain has also taken home the $50,000 Triple Truck Challenge bonus.
