Jimmie Johnson Completes Boston Marathon

On Monday, Jimmie Johnson did what only one other NASCAR driver has done (to our knowledge) in the past — he completed the Boston Marathon.

Johnson’s time was three hours, nine minutes and seven seconds, which averaged out to Johnson, who wore bib #4848, running seven minute and 12 second miles throughout the entire event.

Although Johnson did not win this race, he was ecstatic to complete his first ever marathon and he bested Michael Waltrip’s time in the Boston Marathon back in 2000 by more than an hour.

Johnson said following the event that he expects to return to the Boston Marathon in the future to better his time.
