The pesky rain just will not relent at Texas Motor Speedway, and as a result NASCAR has gone ahead and rescheduled both the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and NASCAR Nationwide Series races for Monday.
The Sprint Cup Series event is scheduled for a 11 am Central / 12 pm Eastern start time. Tomorrow’s local forecast shows just about no rain, and mostly sunny, so lets hope that the rain goes away tomorrow.
The Nationwide Series race will be ran at the conclusion of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series’ Samsung Mobile 500.
If you ever doubt the loyalty of NASCAR fans, never again should you. I went down to the grandstands myself to take a look at the conditions they were all persevering through, and let me tell you it was rough. Within five minutes you were completely soaked, and with the wind chill on top of it all the 54 degree temperature felt like it was below freezing.
My already high respect for the fans of this sport has grown even more today. I really hope, and I believe that we will get racing done tomorrow, because these fans deserve it.
