Allgaier Paces Practice, But Where’s McMurray?

By Toby Christie (Originally appeared on RubbingsRacing.com)

Justin Allgaier was fastest in the first NASCAR Nationwide Series practice session of the weekend after turning a lap of 185.656 mph. Greg Biffle was second quickest followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Brian Scott, and Kyle Busch.

Kyle Busch is of course looking for a fifth straight Nationwide Series victory at Texas Motor Speedway.

The session was relatively uneventful, except for the fact that Landon Cassill was driving two cars. Kelly Bires as we all know was cut from his ride at JR Motorsports, and Jamie McMurray was supposed to be driving for him this week at Texas, but where was McMurray in practice?

McMurray apparently was in a sponsorship appearance and that’s why he couldn’t be a part of practice. McMurray will be in the #88 Hellman’s car starting Friday.
