It was announced this morning in a press conference at Las Vegas Motor Speedway that Greg Biffle has acquired ownership in Sunset Speedway. Sunset speedway is located in Banks, Oregon. This track is very close to where Biffle grew up, and he actually won a track championship at the track in the past.Biffle said, “It’s important to me to get back to where I grew up”.

Not only did Biffle acquire the dirt track, but he also is starting a new Late Model Series to go along with it.

Biffle mentioned he has always enjoyed this type of racing, and he hopes drivers such as Ken Schrader, Kenny Wallace and others will help bring traffic to the race track.

The series will be named the DAA Spec Motor Series presented by Sherwin-Williams. The schedule will consist of 22 races in the northeast, on six tracks and will include a $25,000 point fund.
