Danica Patrick Will Race Nationwide at Daytona

According to a press release this morning from JR Motorsports, Danica Patrick has decided to make her Nationwide Series debut this Saturday at Daytona International Speedway.

Kelley Earnhardt announced that Patrick will be piloting the No. 7 Godaddy.com chevrolet in the season opening event. Patrick as everyone knows gained experience this past week finishing sixth in the ARCA race at Daytona.

“I think Danica proved to everyone that she can compete in stock cars at a high level, and right now seat time is extremely important,” Kelley Earnhardt said.  “She has worked extremely hard during the past two months for this opportunity.  Her dedication and work ethic is infectious.”

Patrick will join Dale Earnhardt Jr. as the two JR Motorsports cars on track for Daytona. After Daytona Kelly Bires will also become a fixture at JR Motorsports.
